License the English Classroom Corpus

600 hours of original, CEFR-graded English teaching content. One author. Clean rights. Available for AI training and product licensing.

The English Classroom Corpus is a complete English language curriculum written between 2019 and 2026, spanning every CEFR level from A1 to C2 and mapped to all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. It was built as one sequenced curriculum by one author, which means the level grading, language progression and pedagogical structure are consistent across the full 600 hours.

It has been used by more than 7,000 teachers in over 80 countries, including classrooms supported by UNRWA, and is rated 4.8/5 by the teachers who use it.

What the corpus contains

- 600 hours of classroom-ready lessons across A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2
- Step-by-step teacher instructions paired with student resources
- Comprehension questions, activities and answer keys
- 2,500+ audio clips recorded by the author, a native British English speaker, aligned to lesson content
- Thematic coverage of all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals at every level
- Available in PDF and SCORM formats, with structured text conversion available on request

Why it matters for AI training

Graded instructional content of this kind is scarce in web-scraped data. Every text in the corpus carries a reliable CEFR difficulty label assigned by a qualified teacher. Teacher instructions, student tasks and answers form natural instruction-and-response pairs. The same topics are treated at six proficiency levels, which provides a parallel-simplification signal that is very hard to find elsewhere. Text and audio share a single origin.

Provenance

Every lesson and every audio clip was created by one person: Jennifer Gardner, a qualified UK teacher and the founder of The English Classroom AB. The corpus contains no user-generated content, no personal data and no third-party material. All rights are held by The English Classroom AB, a Swedish company wholly owned by the author. The corpus has previously been licensed commercially for AI training. *(Wording pending confidentiality review of existing agreement.)*

Licence options

AI training licence (non-exclusive): training, fine-tuning and evaluation of machine learning models
Product integration licence: use of the curriculum as the content spine of an ed-tech or AI tutoring product, white-label available
- Institutional licence: direct classroom use by schools, NGOs and ministries

Exclusivity is considered by sector carve-out only. A sample set is available under NDA.
